AirFab are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated and young individual who enjoys tinkering with mechanical equipment, such as cars, bikes, whitegoods, etc. The ideal candidate is committed to completing their apprenticeship. 

Note: This pathway will lead to the repair/maintenance of hi-tech welding equipment, not installing.

The successful candidate;

  • 17-21 Age range
  • Living within 30km of Kewdale
  • Demonstrate a genuine interest in our industry.
  • Current manual driver’s licence with reliable transport
  • Forklift licence (highly regarded but not essential). We will arrange your certification.
  • Ability to listen, follow instructions and learn quickly.
  • Be punctual and reliable with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understand and abide by workplace health and safety regulations. 
  • Handy with your hands
  • Like working in a small team environment
  • Good physical fitness 

The selected candidate will be trained in various aspects of electro/mechanical technology such as;

  • The Service and maintenance requirements for specialised mechanical equipment
  • Provide forklift training with certificate.

Your duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Helping to diagnose and test electrical faults within welding equipment.
  • Fitting, adjusting and testing electrical equipment, parts and circuits.
  • Service and repairs to electrical welding equipment and generators
  • Assisting technicians.

This is a great opportunity to recommence your Electro/Mechanical Technology Apprenticeship or commence as Apprenticeship post-completion of your pre-apprenticeship.
